Actually, he grows a beard midway through Fearless. (spoiler?). I hear he'll be working with Jackie Chan soon on a new film.
Jet Li's Fearless was excellent for a martial arts film. The action is top notch and fast, with great camera shots of the action. The story follows Jet Li's character, who is determined to become the master in his territory, but soon realizes the price of his arrogance after he confronts Master Chin, of a rival school. Nice character development by Jet Li.
Really enjoyed the story of honor over winning, highly recommended to martial arts fans, along with The Protector (Tony Jaa) if it's still in your theater. Check out Fearless for a great martial arts epic with PLENTY of kickass fighting.
Yeah but he doesn't grow a BEARD beard, right? Not like in those old martial arts films or Kill Bill where it's whispy grey and long as hell?
Well, it was a medium sized black beard, not gray and very long, and it was only for about five minutes till it was cut again. But yeah, the old masters with the long beards in the old martial arts films of the 70's and 80's are great fighters despite their age.
