Hm..well, I wasn't ^_^; I went for plot. I always do.
Skilled fighters tend to lose their edge if they don't continue to work. If I listened right, the 4 assassains were more or less out of practice. Bill didn't actually fight, so oyu don't know how tough he was.

Tarantino was actually forced to make that particular scene in B&W due to the MPAA saying that scene was just too gory for an R rating. It was originally in full color, but that's the sacrifice he had to make for the movie to make most theaters. I'm sure we'll see a full-color version on some special anniversary edition twopack of both movies in 5 or 10 years ala Pulp Fiction, so just give it some time.
As far as the quality of movie 2 compared with movie 1, yes I agree that there was not as much action, but that's about as far as I will go regarding that. The entire second movie has a different purpose than that of the first film, or at least the first half of this really long film. Taking the movie in total, it is actually very similar to Pulp Fiction. The movie jumps around back and forth in time, telling the story in a non-linear fashion in only a way that Tarantino can do. In Pulp Fiction there was a similar chain of events, but it was done in about half the time as Kill Bill, so you don't realize the long portion of story and non-action that takes place in the middle. Kill Bill is quite an amazing acheivement on the part of Tarantino, considering he not only captured the magic of Pulp Fiction, but he improved upon it in a way that not many could think was possible, as Pulp Fiction was such an incredible movie. Kill Bill is every bit the movie PF was, and saying that Vol. 2 was "boring" is an injustice to the intent of the film.
