I'm thinking of another Bond. His name was Lazenby...
But in all honesty, essentially firing Brosnan even when he wanted to continue was one of the biggest mistakes I've seen in a while in the movie industry. It will probably bomb.
Michael: Jodie, how's my schedule look for today? Jodie: You've got a conference and dinner party at the Japanese Embassy regarding wildlife protection. Michael: Oh, yeah...sorry, but I'll have to cancel that. I'm heading out to save America!
I'll probably see it, but I also wanted to see Brosnan continue. I liked him as Bond and I think the best was the second one he did... "The World is not Enough."
I think.
2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!
TWINE was the third one he did. The second he was in was Tomorrow Never Dies.

Well, I color me suprised, as this is my new favorite Bond movie. With Brosnan, the only Bond flick I got into was Goldeneye, but Casino Royale really grabbed me and held my attention for the duration of the flick.
Superb!
Its not who a person is in the inside, but what he does that defines him.
I agree with dex here. This movie was awesome. I also only liked goldeneye. The only other bond that beat this guy was connery. This movie I am going to suggest that all you see because of how fantastic it is.
My friend Dicer-
Death has a thousand different Faces. Evil only has one.
Even some of the next gens can't beat the originals. (N64, snes, nintendo.)
The movie was pretty good, but Craig as Bond still doesn't fit with me, so I can't say I prefer him over Brosnan. Perhaps because the only recent Bond movie I hated was Die Another Day, as I quite liked TWINE and Tomorrow Never Dies.
It's still in my book:
1) Connery (particularly Never Say Never Again Connery)
2) Brosnan
3) Dalton

Saw Casino Royale. Some cool action scenes, but outweighed by plenty of dry dialog mostly about a love story, and like the title suggests, guys playing poker for big chips for thirty minutes, also a trade mark of James Bond, but not one I really enjoy. Still, it was a solid film, the new James Bond kicks some ass, but I was waiting for at least a fancy car chase scene, or a trademark of 007 gadget... Favorite scene: The intro's on foot chase which lasted for about seven minutes. Interesting 007 film, a step outside the formula.
Based on reviews that hit the net, Casino Royale makes up for the crappy previous new bond films except for Golden Eye which was the only good new Bond flim.
I did like the Casino Royale. It felt original for a James Bond film considering the gritty style and lack of gadgets. Like someone else suggested, a more realistic James Bond.
It was a fairly good and enjoyable film, but to me, it was no 007 film. They messed up a few important bits: James Bond is a 00 agent. Bond needs Q to supply him with gadgets. Moneypenny was also missing, but much more important is that 007 always cares about how his Martini is served.
Reviews are saying its quite good. I haven't seen it yet but it looks like it makes up for the previous new Bond movies. I am gonna wait for the DVD to really decide by then.
