Magic the Gathering: Timespiral Pre-Release

Dude. So. Fucking. Broken.

In case you don't already know, I'm engaged and went to the pre-release (a friend payed as a present) with my fiance to celebrate.

I won 1 game, which is pretty good, considering there weren't that many people there, except for PTQs.

I love this new set and I can't fucking wait to infiltrate my decks with it.

Thoughts?

Broken is the right word. How the fuck can you counter something with an instant? Other than that, very very solid set. Might even have some ban-worthy stuff.

Gotta love some of the shadow cards, and the white fear stuff. Glad they brought atleast a little shadow back, talk about broken

Missed the pre-release due to a lack of money but I will be playing in a release draft and sealed tournament in the coming week. From what I can tell from the spoiler it's going to be a much slower set than RGD or the Kamigawa block but that's okay with me. I've always been a draw, go type of player anyway. (On a side note I put together a cheap mono-green beats deck to take to the next FNM that there is which will be interesting. I've been playing U/W Control and Snow Control but sold most of the rares and good uncommons for food because I didn't know there was a shop that participated in sanctioned tournaments. Oh well.)

What pool did you have to choose from? And what deck did you build?

On second thought, it might be a little too late for you to exactly remember that so in any case, what color combination did you go? Did you have any bombs? What was the MVP for your deck?
