Monster House

OK. here's my review.
I have 4 kids. Ages, 15, 12, 9 and 7

I took my two boys, age 12 and 9 to see it last night.
It was a very good movie in my opinion and I will probably buy the DVD when it comes out. The story is well written and the animations were really good. It's basically a story of an old house across the street from a boy. The scarey old man that lives there doesn't allow anyone on his lawn and takes anything(toys) that land in it. Later in the movie you find out why this is all happening. Really good story in the end when it all comes together.

The downside. This is a somewhat scarey movie. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING ANY CHILD YOUNGER THAN 7 or 6 to this movie. It can be disturbing for younger children. My 12 and 9 year old loved it!

My 7 year old wanted to go see it, and I am glad I talked her out of it. After reading other reviews I decided it was no movie for her at her age.
I will say that there were some people in the theater that got up and walked out with their younger children right after the first "scarey" scene. All I have to say to those parents is, get some damn parenting skills you de-sensitized idiots. Just because a movie is animated doesn't mean it is for every age. Just look at the Cartoon animated movie "Heavy Metal".

I wanted so bad to say to these parents.
"Why on earth did you bring your 3 year old to this movie? Don't you ever read movie reviews before you go see a movie?" Idiots.
I've read a few user reviews that said they were very disappointed in the movie and that it was far too scarey for their kids and that their children had nightmares. Well no kidding? So blame the movie for your own ignorance? I've got one word for parents like that, Dumbasses.


Overall 4/5 is my rating.

Agree with that and the bottom.

I saw it and thought the writing was terrible. The acting was prety good though.
