Walmart Launches New Gamecenter Destination Online and Offers $50 eGift Card with the Preorder of 3 Select Titles Plus 97-Cent Shipping on All Video Games

Exclusive savings, never-before-seen footage and sneak peeks of the hottest videogames are now available at Walmart.com/gamecenter

BRISBANE, Calif., May 20 -- Walmart announces the introduction of Gamecenter, the one-stop online destination for the latest video game previews, first-look exclusives and special savings for gamers and families, now available at http://www.walmart.com/gamecenter. To celebrate the launch, Walmart.com is offering a $50 eGift Card to customers that preorder a total of three or more of the year's most anticipated titles including Medal of Honor, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Fallout: New Vegas and more. In addition, all video games ordered from Walmart.com can now be shipped for just 97 cents each.

"Walmart Gamecenter combines incredible savings with exclusive gaming content all in a compelling and interactive experience online," says Kelly Thompson, vice president of merchandising for Walmart.com. "Gaming enthusiasts will be drawn in by the exclusive content and developer interviews, while moms will appreciate the special savings only Walmart can offer on the hottest video game titles."

Each month, Walmart Gamecenter features new video games plus exclusive content, special offers and more for each title. Special countdown clocks show the days until the hottest preorder titles are available. This month's featured Gamecenter titles include:

  UFC Undisputed 2010 with bonus eGift Card and exclusive content
  --  Features a bonus $10 eGift Card with preorders and exclusive footage
      of game developer interviews filmed at the UFC Training Facility in
      Las Vegas, NV, as well as interviews from UFC athletes Forrest Griffin
      and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
  Split Second with exclusive content
  --  Features exclusive game play footage, trailers and in-depth interviews
      with the development team behind the explosive and highly successful
      racing game.
  NCAA Football 11 with bonus eGift Card and exclusive content
  --  Features a bonus $10 eGift Card with preorders and an exclusive
      never-before-seen game trailer for NCAA Football 11.
  Toy Story 3: The Video Game with exclusive content
  --  Exclusive version of Toy Story 3: The Video Game features four in-game
      theme packs which can be used for "Toy Box mode," a special game
      within the video game. In addition, select Toy Story 3 products sold
      in Walmart stores and online at Walmart.com include special cards with
      codes to unlock exclusive add-ons within the Toy Story video game.

Customers can easily upgrade their video game collection through Walmart's online Trade-In program, which allows customers to trade in their used video games and earn Walmart prepaid Visa cards in return at http://walmart.gazelle.com/. Used gaming consoles as well as video games are eligible for trade-in. Walmart Gamecenter is co-sponsored through a media partnership with Unilever.
