Diebold Launches Nationwide Fire Program
National offering of Fire Detection Solutions and Services solidifies holistic security capabilities
NORTH CANTON, Ohio, May 12 -- Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE:DBD), one of the world's leading security integrators, can now help its customers mitigate the risk fires pose to their people, facilities and physical assets. The company has launched Diebold Fire Detection Solutions and Services, a service delivering fire detection hardware, software, monitoring and services to facilities nationwide.

The new offering will enable Diebold to deliver integrated fire and burglar protection to end users in a variety of markets. The integration of these services can result in increased operational efficiencies, greater consistency, reduced monitoring costs and even savings on insurance premiums for customers.

The cornerstone of Diebold's Fire Detection Solutions and Services is its award-winning monitoring services. State-of-the-art equipment and highly trained specialists deliver advanced monitoring and response technology. Diebold's Monitoring Centers are Five-Diamond certified by the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA), as well as UL and UL-C certified by Underwriters Laboratories. Monitoring services were an important feature for one of Diebold's first fire customers, Metro Bank located in Pennsylvania.
"Diebold's consistency in its alarm monitoring services has further improved Metro Bank's ability to enhance its physical security," said Janet McFadden-Messimer, physical security manager, Metro Bank. "One of the features we value most is Revisor Online. By providing alarm panel history, this application allows us to assess a situation with greater ease."
Diebold made a significant investment in training, certification and processes to bring fire solutions and services to market. Service and sales associates participated in training programs as required by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET). Diebold also developed training modules in concert with the Automatic Fire Alarm Association, Inc. (AFAA), an industry organization focused on improving the quality, reliability and value of fire and life-safety systems.
