JNBridge to release JNBridgePro version 5.1 with support for visual studio 2010 and Microsoft .NET Framework 4

JNBridgePro 5.1 enables developers to access Java from Visual Studio 2010 while working with multiple versions of the .NET Framework

BOULDER, Colo., April 12 -- JNBridge, (http://www.jnbridge.com/jnbpro51.htm), the award-winning provider of Java and .NET Framework interoperability tools, today announced it will be releasing JNBridgePro 5.1. The company's latest version of its core product has been upgraded to include support for Microsoft's Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4.

JNBridgePro connects Java and .NET Framework-based components and applications together with simple-to-use Visual Studio and Eclipse plug-ins that remove the complexities of cross-platform interoperability. JNBridgePro 5.1 enables developers to access Java components from Visual Studio 2010, and work with multiple .NET Frameworks, including .NET 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 and now 4.0.

".NET  Framework 4 has a brand new set of core assemblies," said Wayne Citrin, CTO of JNBridge. "Users need to be able to create interoperability projects that are targeted toward a specific version of the .NET Framework. Visual Studio 2010 supports multi-targeting toward .NET 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0. JNBridgePro 5.1 enables users to target the specific .NET Framework version they need."

JNBridgePro's Visual Studio plug-in allows developers to explore and expose Java classes directly within Visual Studio 2010.  Developers can access any Java-based component or application, and use JNBridgePro to build proxies that are directly callable from .NET Framework-based code.

"Microsoft is pleased that JNBridge, a Visual Studio Industry Partner, has invested early in supporting Visual Studio 2010 and our next-generation application development platform, and is simultaneously shipping JNBridgePro version 5.1," said Eddie Amos, General Manager, Developer Platform and Tools Marketing at Microsoft Corp. "Products like JNBridgePro help customers simplify their development process from design to deployment when using Microsoft products like Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4."
