Motorola Launches PartnerEmpower(TM) Wireless Network Solutions Channel Program Track

First PartnerEmpower specialization dedicated to channel partners focused on wireless broadband, wireless LAN, security and voice-over-IP technologies

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., April 12 -- Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announced the Motorola Wireless Network Solutions (WNS) Track, the first PartnerEmpower(TM) Channel Program specialization launched and focused on channel partners that concentrate on delivering wireless broadband, wireless LAN (WLAN), security and voice-over-IP (VoIP) technologies and solutions. By participating in the WNS Track specialization, Motorola channel partners have the opportunity to achieve new levels of revenue with access to the industry's broadest indoor and outdoor wireless network solutions portfolio, a comprehensive training and certification program, and extensive marketing, sales and technical benefits to help them better serve their customers.

The WNS Track offers channel partners the opportunity to leverage a comprehensive set of solutions from Motorola's WNS organization, created in 2009 to unleash the synergies between its enterprise WLAN, converged enterprise communications, Motorola AirDefense, private broadband networks and wireless broadband portfolios and to deliver best-in-class wireless connectivity solutions to enterprises, governments and service providers. Delivering on the promise of transforming organizations and empowering workers through seamless connectivity and real-time information in the hands of users, Motorola's innovative solutions offer the flexibility of wireless to customers, helping them grow their business and address today's changing market dynamics with solutions that put them ahead of the curve.

"Motorola's PartnerEmpower program is focused on driving growth, enabling specialization and delivering value, making it easier for channel partners to conduct business with Motorola and take advantage of new opportunities to increase revenue," said Gregg Kalman, MSSI vice president of North American WNS Channels, Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions. "By joining the WNS Track, channel partners will have access to certifications and a broad range of tools that can help boost profitability and differentiate their business in the marketplace. It will allow them to build important collaborative solution relationships with other Motorola channel partners and help them establish long-term relationships with satisfied customers by delivering innovative and reliable technology solutions that enable seamless connectivity."

The track is designed to reward channel partners for an increased level of competency in wireless technologies and success in developing a wireless practice. It will include opportunities for certification in key areas, such as wireless network design and implementation, wireless security or holistic network management, along with the opportunity to earn designation as a WNS Specialist or WNS Elite Specialist. These designations will not only provide channel partners with access to an incremental set of program benefits, but also will enable companies to differentiate themselves while demonstrating their value-add to customers and prospects.

As a WNS Specialist or Elite Specialist, channel partners will have the opportunity to leverage the industry's broadest end-to-end wireless technology portfolio to provide enterprise and government customers with trusted wireless network solutions that enable anywhere access. Easily secured and holistically managed, Motorola's indoor and outdoor wireless network solutions build on each other and work together seamlessly, helping make organizations more flexible, more competitive and operationally optimized to deliver superior service to customers. For channel partners, this means a strong business proposition reinforced by extensive sales, marketing and technical benefits focused on delivering rapid return on investment and helping channel partners grow their wireless revenue.

"The adoption of wireless technologies is accelerating at a rapid pace, and our customers are seeking trusted partners who have the experience and expertise necessary to deliver integrated solutions that meet their evolving connectivity and mobility needs," said Allan Rakos, vice president, Vislink Services. "The PartnerEmpower WNS Track simplifies the way we do business with Motorola and recognizes our investment in developing specialization. By offering certifications, access to marketing tools and support, and the opportunity to foster relationships with other partners, Motorola is helping us address changing market dynamics, differentiate ourselves in the marketplace and position our business for growth."

The WNS Track will be rolled out in stages worldwide, with wireless channel partners in North America becoming the first group to be gradually and seamlessly transitioned to the new program without business interruption. Motorola radio and mobility partners in the region are expected to migrate to their program-respective tracks over the next 18 months, as will wireless channel partners in other regions.
