RxEOB Releases MyDrugBenefit Version 3.0, Allowing Health Plans To Partner with Consumers To Reduce Drug Spending and Improve Outcomes

New platform builds on a decade of experience in pharmacy data analytics and consumer engagement

RICHMOND, Va., April 8 -- After nearly two years of intense development, RxEOB is pleased to announce the general availability release of MyDrugBenefit(TM) Version 3.0.  With MyDrugBenefit, health plan members have a secure, branded, online dashboard to:

--  Access consumer-friendly, actionable pharmacy histories,
--  Compare benefit-specific out-of-pocket costs of all available options,
--  Receive targeted cost-saving and care enhancing messages,
--  Appropriately prepare for a physician visit,
--  Take general and condition-specific health risk assessments, and
--  Find in-network pharmacies, integrated with Google MapsĀ®.

"As health plans seek to create high-value pharmacy programs and use prescription data to advance their clinical agenda, they must integrate a detailed understanding of Rx data, clinical pharmacology, benefit design, health plan operations, and consumer behavior," commented Robert Oscar, CEO of RxEOB.  "With Version 3.0, our health plan clients now have new tools to promote benefit-driven, formulary-compliant, evidence-based use of medications.  At the same time, with MyDrugBenefit, the high-volume pharmacy data is re-tasked to improve the patient-provider relationship, track care overtime, improve compliance, and--most importantly--reduce costs for the plan and the member.  The latter is now so critical in this economic climate," added Mr. Oscar.

In addition to expanded end-user functionality, such as the Physician Visit Prep Kit, My Medicine Chest, and automated clinical alerts, Version 3.0 includes several health-plan oriented back-end capabilities.  Specifically, in Version 3.0, health plans can use published web-services to display the cost-saving, care-improving data elements of MyDrugBenefit directly in their existing online environments.  Version 3.0 also offers much tighter disease management workflow integration, as well as more detailed clinical and operational reporting.

Version 3.0 builds on the existing MyDrugBenefit solution, which today manages over 19M lives and 17,000 different benefit designs for numerous health plans nationwide.  MyDrugBenefit is scalable to support the unique needs of health plans of all sizes, from more than 10 million members down to less than 10 thousand lives. In creating Version 3.0, RxEOB collaborated with pharmaco-economic and behavioral change researchers from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy, as well as working closely with existing clients.
