Diebold Employs Verizon Business To Deliver Network Implementation Services
Global IT and communications solutions provider's services to enhance security integrator's offerings
NORTH CANTON, Ohio, March 24 -- Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE:DBD) is utilizing Verizon Business' (NYSE:VZ)(NASDAQ:VZ) network implementation services to provide comprehensive physical security solutions to its customers. Diebold will engage Verizon Business in converged, IT-centric security opportunities by combining Verizon's leading Internet Protocol (IP) network and IT capabilities with Diebold's integrated physical security solutions for enhanced protection of businesses and government agencies.

As one of Diebold's strategic communications providers, Verizon Business' secure and reliable global IP network will connect the hardware and software that powers Diebold's physical security solutions in select deployments. Diebold will then leverage the network to deliver its managed security services, such as alarm monitoring, managed access control, remote video monitoring and network monitoring.
