It's official, Bungie has announced that Halo 2 is ready to ship on November 9th, effectively shifting all of my meager social skills from the real world to the online gaming world, along with millions of other drooling geekboys. Bungie's announcement can be found here. It looks like Halo 2 is going to be out before Half Life 2 will be, which two years ago would have been ridiculous to think of since Valve was insisting that Half Life 2 would beat Doom 3 to store shelves, no less Halo 2. HL2 may be just a hiccup in the mammoth that Halo 2 will be if it doesn't get to the public first.
