Now I do agree that $200-$300 for an Operating system is pretty crazy. The problem is, people will pay for it. With no immediate competition, Microsoft can charge whatever the market will pay for its products. Do not tell me that Linux is a viable option. It plainly is not. Have you ever tried to recently install or USE Linux? Let's face it, if Linux wants to start to widdle away at Microsoft's desktop market, they HAVE to make the interface easier to use. RPMs and stuff are great... but then the dependancies and stuff. In Windows... you double click an install program and that it. What do you think?
