Yep, seems more news is trickling out about the rumored change to bump up the Athlon's fsb speed to 333Mhz. This time with hints dropped by nVidia, who will be rolling out thier nForce 2 chipset later this year. The scuttlebutt now is that the 2800+ incarnation of the Athlon will be the one to carry the new fsb speed.

AMD 2800+ to support 333MHz FSB?

Given the pressure Intel is putting on AMD lately, I wouldn't at all be surprised if they played this ace. Along with a nice boost in L2 cache to 512kb that has been reportedly going to be put on the Barton core it would make for a nice boost in performance.
